ARIA Chart success for JOHN KRSULJA

3 min read

Hitting the top 10 of the ARIA Country Albums Chart is no foolish move for John Krsulja’s second album Burden of the Fool.

The Nundle singer-songwriter released his album on June 19 and music lovers have thrown their full support behind the new offering.

The album reached No. 6 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart and is No. 3 for Australian Country Albums on the ARIA Charts.

“It feels great to have my album on that chart,” John said.

“You know about the ARIA Chart most of your adult life and you’re forever seeing Australian artists on tv who are ARIA Award winning artists, so it’s a good achievement to see my album there.”

Burden of the Fool is a journey album of life, love and the world around us to be listened to, track by track, and not once or twice, but over and over to truly appreciate the depth behind the words.

John said he was grateful that the songs were connecting with people.

“I’m starting to understand who I am as a songwriter,” he said.

“I think the success of the album comes from the feel behind the songs I choose to record – I think that’s a big thing.”

The album features co-writes with fellow artists Kelly Cork on The Way It Goes, Allison Forbes on Keep Quiet, Jen Mize with Nimbin, Lachlan Bryan on The World Keeps Turning On Its Own, and Brendan Nawrocki with Fishin’ n Workin’.

John is no stranger to the music industry, having played music for much of his life, and picking up a Golden Guitar with Luke O’Shea in 2017.

The late Glen Hannah produced Burden Of The Fool along with Matt Fell, Jeff McCormack mastered it, and the album features Glen on acoustic guitar on the single Black To Blue, Matt on bass, backing vocals and other instruments, Josh Schuberth on drums, Pete Cornelius on guitars, and guest Michael Webb on piano accordion.

Burden of the Fool was released on Friday, June 19.
