ALBUM “COMING HOME” OUT SEPTEMBER 7

Goodbye My Friends is the second tasty track dropped from James Van Cooper’s debut Americana album, Coming Home, out September 7 and now available for pre-order through iTunes.  It follows on from the release of lead single, Passing Through, which was added to Apple Music’s A-List: Americana and received positive reviews all around.

A classic uptempo rollick, Goodbye My Friends was penned by Van Cooper along with all the other tracks on the album except for Demolition, which he co-wrote with Dean Ray. Produced in the US by Scott Campbell, Coming Home is full of edgy alt country cool and features renowned session players, including Steve Taylor (piano, keyboards), Hayley Brownell (drums, percussion), Rodrigo Moreno (bass guitar) and Matt Pynn (lap steel on Passing Through and Come Home), with Van Cooper on lead vocals, harmonies, acoustic and electric guitars.

In support of the album, James and his 4-piece band are heading out on tour with special guestAxle Whitehead opening the show. Axle returns to Australia after starring in US TV productions Shameless and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and is keen to test a new collection of songs accompanied by ARIA award-winning, Carl Dimataga.
