Having sold out their two shows at inner-west venue The Factory in just four days, Sunnyboys are pleased to announce a third and final Sydney show.

Sydney, The Factory Theatre

special guests The Celibate Rifles

(6.00pm – 9.30pm)

The sold-out shows are the fastest selling Sydney shows since the band’s reunion in 2012. An outstanding if not totally unique achievement.

Elsewhere, the iconic band – borne of the eighties but with all-time appeal – set a first day sales record at Sunshine Coast venue The Shed @ Aussie World selling a third of all tickets. It’s the band’s first performance on the coast since their reformation and just their third appearance in the region ever, their last visit being 1983 at the Noosa Hop  an all day festival featuring Skyhooks, Midnight Oil, The Church and others.

Perhaps even more remarkable is that the 2017 edition of Sunnyboys (featuring all original members) have existed longer than the bright-eyed young men who burned so brightly back in the eighties but also burned-out so fast. The time around without the pressure of scheduling and the demand for chart hits and with a mutual love and respect for the music they made, Sunnyboys can just do what they do best, play live.

“In the 80’s we burned out and the fun became hard work. The shows this time around have all been good fun and the fan reactions incredible, so while ever that lasts the band will.” – Bil Bilson

Joining the band for both The Factory and Aussie World shows are Sydney political surf-punks The Celibate Rifles

Tickets for The Factory are on sale now via factorytheatre.com.au
