LEGENDS IN THE VINES SET TO LAUNCH IN WINERIES ACROSS
REGIONAL AUSTRALIA
SHOWS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN COMING WEEKS
There is a new concert series on the scene and it is set to become one of the hottest events on the Australian music calendar. The brainchild of promoter Duane McDonald from Regional Touring – who is responsible for the sell-out festivals One Electric Day and the Red Hot Summer Tour – Legends in the Vines is set to continue the organisation’s dedication to bringing the best in musical talent to regional areas.
Announcing the Legends in the Vines concept today, Duane says the line-ups will be finalised in the coming weeks for the 2016-2017 season. The annual series, which will include select wineries in South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, will include legends of the music scene from both Australia and overseas. “Selected wineries will offer a boutique up-close-and-personal experience listening to legends of our music industry,” says Duane. “There will also be a strong focus on family-friendly entertainment.”
For Duane, now was the right time to bring the Legends in the Vines idea to fruition. “I am thrilled to announce this new brand and excited to be opening up this concept into our fantastic new venues that have jumped on board,” he says. “The idea has been on the drawing board for some years, but has finally been prompted into action and we look forward to the 2016 season launch.”
Regional Touring has a strong track history of amazing festivals. It is responsible for the sell-out One Electric Day events, which this year expanded into the South Australian market. Its annual Red Hot Summer Tour regularly sells out around the country and is an icon of the summer festival calendar. There are exciting times ahead for regional Australia with the announcement of Legends in the Vines.
