Kids In The Kitchen are getting ready to shine again for Melbourne fans – this will be their first full show since the 80’s, featuring all original members: Scott Carne (vocals), Claude Carranza (guitar vocals), Craig Harnath (bass), Bruce Curnow (drums) and special guest Susie Ahearn (backing vocals). After rave reviews from their recent support slot on the hugely successful Culture Club tour, the local lads will be performing at one of Melbourne’s much loved live music institutions. Kids In The Kitchen became a household name in the 80’s with their double platinum debut album Shine. The album saw them achieve 5 x Top 10 singles, including Change in Mood, Bitter Desire and Current Stand. With Scott Carne at the helm, the band spearheaded the New Romantic movement in Australia, which dominated mid-80’s pop. After the release of their second album, Terrain, which spawned 2 x Top 20 hits – Say It and Revolution Love, Kids in the Kitchen then went on to tour the world and break venue capacity records across their Australian shows. Joining Kids In The Kitchen on the night will be music legend and good friend Ian ‘Molly” Meldrum, spinning his favourite tunes, along with special guests Cattletruck. This will be their first show since the 80s, which will see them perform hits Leave Me & Resurrection Shuffle. For the first time since the 90’s, Kids In The Kitchen’s album Shine will be available on CD – it has been fully remastered and will go on sale at the gig. After that, it will be available in good record stores and online. Grab your friends and come along for a great night of live music – this should not be missed!
