Kristy Coote is maintaining the momentum right off the back of her single release, sans-serif””>‘Favourite Thing’ on April 15. Now, she announces her debut album release ‘Favourite Thing’ out on May 20, along with some special shows.
‘Favourite Thing’ was written and recorded in Nashville Tennessee and produced by Mike Flanders, distribution with Orchard Distribution and on the Maronte Music label. The title track was mixed by multi Grammy Award winner Commissioner Gordon (Carlos Santana ‘Supernatural’ Amy Winehouse ‘Frank’, Alicia Keys, Damien Marley, Lauryn Hill’s solo debut smash, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”). Engineered by Michael Flanders & Dustin Martin @ 2729 Audio Nashville TN and mastered by Brad Blackwood @ Euphonic Masters Memphis TN.
Favourite Thing is all about anything you love, or one of your favourite things, so why not sing about it. Remembering not to take anything for granted and to live in the moment and now it has just been picked up by the Power FM network, ‘Oz Made’ show as ‘Unsigned Find Of The Week!’
Kristy has worked tirelessly to deliver her best work to date. She really wants her music to connect with people on and off stage and, has developed her style whilst networking and finding her feet in the U.S., independent acoustic roots and pop scene.
Tracks from the album include Free Wind – Have you ever come to a cross roads? Take the high road or the low road. It’s your choice. I choose me. Crazy – Playful, fun song about the one you love. We all have a bit of crazy in us … So let it out!Superpower – A woman’s inner strength is a powerful thing. So don’t let it out cause you don’t want to mess with it. A pop rock song with bonus track rapper Tanya Ali from Nashville. Speck of Doubt – We all doubt ourselves, but can find a way to get through it. A powerful soulful ballad.
“Recording in Nashville was absolutely brillant! Mike Flanders, my awesome Australian producer, is based there, and has been there for some years. I also co-wrote with a bunch of other Aussies including: ‘Pretending’ with Clive Young (Pop star from 80’s-90’s), ‘Superpower’ with Anthony Snape (wrote with Tommy Emmanuel and Rick Price), ‘In My Heart’ with Sarah Humpreys (singer/songwriter), ‘Crazy’ with Pop star Chaise Flanders. So the album really is a collective Australian effort. ” – Kristy Coote
