LEO SAYER and JOE CAMILLERI celebrate 150 great years!

3 min read

Leo Sayer and Joe Camilleri knew they had a lot in common the very first time they met. Imagine when Danny DeVito met Arnold Schwarzenegger. Twins, but not quite twins.

Born on the same day almost 75 years ago, and growing up on opposite sides of the world, who would have thought these two kindred artistic spirits would have such a special bond in music.

These two “Brothers” will celebrate their deeply shared musical influences in a unique concert featuring not only their greatest hits, but an incredible array of combined musical tributes to their idols from their formative years.

From Leo’s early life as Harmonica Gerry jamming in the underground blues clubs of London in the late 1960’s with the likes of Alexis Corner and John Mayal, to Joe’s musical development in Melbourne’s burgeoning pub rock scene of the early 70’s in bands like The Sharks, Pelaco Brothers and Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons before each shot to stardom in their own right with original music inspired by the greats of rhythm & blues, soul, blues and reggae.

These extra special shows will combine not only Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows but also feature Leo Sayer with his full touring band and see all musicians on stage for a massive finale tribute to their musical heroes.

Don’t miss seeing this incredible, musical celebration of two incredible lives. Tickets to all shows are on sale now and tickets will sell fast!
