Last week, global powerhouse Lorde announced her return to Australia and New Zealand in 2022 to incredible fanfare from music lovers around the country.
Today, the artist adds two new shows to her anticipated Solar Power Tour in February and March, to satisfy overwhelming demand from fans during the pre-sale period, which has now concluded. Lorde will now play back-to-back dates at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March, before heading to Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March, bringing her tally of Australian dates to six with stops in Brisbane and Perth.
Tickets for all shows will be available to the general public at 12 noon (local) on Monday 5 July.
For the first time in five years, Lorde will visit venues across her native New Zealand before touching down in Australia to deliver some of her biggest shows to date, as part of her global Solar Power World Tour. Taking in cities across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, Lorde’s Solar Power dates sold out completely within minutes of going on sale to the general public earlier this week, after adding multiple dates due to fan demand.
Lorde will tour in support of her new ‘Solar Power’ single, which debuted earlier this month to fan and critical acclaim, and forthcoming album of the same name – out August 20 via Universal Music.
