Melbourne hard rockers Ablaze promised their first release for 2025 would be a big one, and they’ve more than delivered on that promise with their huge new single Next Train Out. In it’s first two weeks it has gained attention from both local and international audiences alike, with the soaring chorus, catchy harmonies and blistering guitars, showing the Ablaze train is well and truly rolling for 2025.
Channelling classic Aussie rock attitude with a Southern-rock twist, ‘Next Train Out’ tells the tale of a fling that quickly went off the rails, a girl who seemed like a first-class ticket to paradise but turned out to be a one-way trip to disaster.
Ablaze’s live performances are second to none, and when a high-energy band write a high-energy single like ‘Next Train Out’, they’re going to need a high-energy music video to match! Once again enlisting the help of Dan Armstrong and Rom Anthonis from Strongman Pictures, the band found a local gem – the Newport Railway Museum, the perfect place to cameo this thundering tune.
Situated in Melbourne’s inner south west, this collection of locomotives and carriages from Australia’s rail history dates back to 1962 and is run by dedicated volunteers, who were more than happy to lend some time to help the band’s creative vision come to life. Donning railworker-inspired attire, Ablaze have done their best to bring their playful, tongue-in-cheek and never-ending live energy to the screen and giving fans first-class tickets to the ride of a lifetime!
After tearing it up in Sydney last week, the train stops in at The Woodshed in Adelaide tonight ahead of the Northcote Social in Melbourne on Friday, April 11.
