Melbourne’s Devil Electric set the vintage rock scene alight in 2017 with the release of their mesmerising self titled debut album. The 37 minute, 9-track LP received rave reviews the world over!

Earlier this year they came roaring back with another slab of riff heavy, doom encrusted rock n roll in the shape of All My Friends Move Like The Night.

Are you ready for more? The gargantuan riffs of The Cave, snake around frontwoman Pierina O’Brien’s hypnotic and powerful vocals, completely immersing you in a claustrophobic wall of sound that perfect complements the songs lyrical journey.

The band explain the story behind the song:

The Cave is a re-telling of Plato’s allegory of the cave; written from the perspective of one of the prisoners, who is freed and able to see outside of the superficial physical reality they have been forced to accept for most of their life. The prisoner, although surrounded by others, suffers from loneliness and disconnect, to hint that they may have always been aware that what they could see, was not the full version of reality. The beginning of this person’s awakening is the end of the song.”

‘The Cave’ is available on all Digital Platforms now: smarturl.it/TheCave

The haunting cover art for The Cave is a photo taken by Devil Electric guitarist Christos Athanasias in a Lava Cave in Iceland!

Expect more from Devil Electric very very soon…
