His live performances are legendary, and Wilson has been inducted twice into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Ross Wilson said, “Now Listen! We’re Steppin’ Out at one of my favourite places, the beautiful State Theatre right in the heart of Sydney, a city that has always been very welcoming to me & my music. I played the State with both Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock & it’s gonna be great to tread the boards & raise the roof one more time with my killer band The Peaceniks.

Wilson is the songwriter of A-grade classics such as ‘Eagle Rock’, ‘Cool World’ and ‘A Touch of Paradise’ and producer of the legendary Skyhooks, Jo Jo Zep, The Johnnys, and The Screaming Jets.

His songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, DEF-FX, Custard, Jennifer Rush (EU), Troy Cassar-Daley, Leslie Avril, Hey Gringo, You Am I, Uncle Bill, Keke (Spain), Renee Geyer, Christine Anu, Duane Jarvis (US), Elkie Brooks (UK), Ann Kirkpatrick & Lee Kernaghan, Sovereign, Pleasantville, Beccy Cole, Sonic Jihad, and The Wiggles!

Wilson fronted Daddy Cool and exploded out of the 70s playing rootsy 50s sounds. Their number one anthem ‘Eagle Rock’ and debut album ‘Daddy Who?’ smashed all previous sales records in Australia an astounding 53 years ago in 1971.

He then formed Mondo Rock in 1977 who surfed the contemporary scene with chart topping singles and albums from the mid 70s to the late 80s, delivering hits ‘Cool World’, ‘State of The Heart’, ‘Chemistry’, ‘No Time’, and ‘Come Said The Boy’.

As a solo performer and major songwriter Wilson continued to achieve success and make his mark during the 90s and beyond.

On trips to Europe and the USA he collaborated with overseas writers and concluded the millennium as a special guest performer on John Farnham’s “I Can’t Believe I’m 50” tour and live album.

Wilson’s latest release, ‘She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time’ is a modern day tragicomedy in the blues genre.
