Brendan McMahon is the driving force, and creative influence for Satellite Gods, a Melbourne based singer/songwriter/guitarist he spent a lot of years in other bands and decided last year to go it alone. Releasing his first album back in 2015, ‘Falling To Earth’ received airplay on Triple J Unearthed and community radio stations across Australia, but the track of the same name did not make it onto the album. Now, the single ‘Falling To Earth’ makes it’s iconic debut and is due for release, independently on August 12 through itunes, 7 Digital, Amazon and www.satgods.com This track has strong riffs and is a hard driven rock track with obvious influences of The Angels and Jimmy Barnes. The lyrics were inspired by falling to earth from 14,000 feet in a tandem sky dive… if you’ve done this then you’ll associate with the lyrics. ‘Falling To Earth’ was recorded at Soggy Dog Recording Studio in Upwey Victoria and produced by Steve Vertigan and mastered at Yesmaster Studios in Nashville. “Never thought I’d do it but at 14,000 feet as my legs hung precariously over the edge of the door of the plane, I knew I’d have to trust the puppeteer… next thing I knew I was “Falling To Earth” – Brendan McMahon.
