Melbourne darlings The Killjoys play their 1990 ARIA winning debut album ‘Ruby’ in full for a special one-off performance on the Sound as Ever stage at Leaps and Bounds.
Featuring the classics ‘Fall Around Me’ , ‘Michael Told Me’ and ‘Sometimes Blue’ plus the return of Caroline Schwerkolt on vibraphone, this will be a very special performance from a much loved Melbourne band.
Joining the Killjoys is singer songwriter Rob Clarkson who made his name in the venues of Brunswick Street in the early to mid 90s. Rob later went on to form Ruck Rover with Stanley Paulzen from Tlot Tlot and is probably best remembered for his ‘Beautiful Boys & Beautiful Girls’ EP and ‘Off Your Faith’ LP.
This will be Rob’s first Melbourne show in 9 years.
Finally, the return of Dave Johnstone from Ammonia! Ammonia were a much loved staple of Triple J in the 90s with such memorable hits as ‘Drugs’ (95) & ‘You’re Not The Only One Who Feels This Way’ (97).
The Sound as Ever stage sees Dave Johnstone from Ammonia playing hits from the Mint 400 LP with a brand new band.
