Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market on Sunday 5 June. Expect a bumper crop of irresistible stalls and an unmissable entertainment line-up including the last-ever performance of ska legends 
Backy SkankPat CapocciHank’s Jalopy Demons (VIC), Narelle Evans & the Jetbacks plus DJs. Part market, part music festival, part meeting place, the Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is where you can enjoy one of Sydney’s most unique shopping experiences and a fabulous day out for all the family.

The Market features carefully selected traders from across NSW and interstate – and the winter edition has more exciting stalls than ever. You will find – fashion galore, rock ‘n’ roll, alternative, vintage, handmade and unique clothing for men, women and kids, jewellery, accessories, vinyl records, posters, cult DVDs, movie memorabilia, artwork, homewares, collectables, handmade goods and a raft of other treasures you simply won’t find anywhere else. Adding serious glamour will be the retro hair and make-up stylists and classic and vintage vehicle display, you’ll also find outstanding food stalls, café, bars, giant kids’ games and a huge dance floor that’s always rocking.
The June 5 entertainment line-up features:
Backy Skank: A fixture on the local ska scene since 1998, they’re calling time on their star-spangled career – this is the band’s last ever show and not to be missed. Since exploding onto the scene, this highly acclaimed outfit have blown away crowds with their high-energy live shows and top-notch studio recordings. For this final fling, the original 11 piece line-up will be reunited and the entire back catalogue of originals and favourite covers will be aired for one more time.
Pat Capocci: Lock up your daughters – Australia’s greatest and slickest rockabilly delinquent is back to tear up the Manning Bar with his raw, fiery energy – and break a few hearts. 
With a new EP out called More Thrills Than Ever, that’s exactly what we can expect!

 

Hank’s Jalopy DemonsThese bad boys of rockabilly promise to deliver hopped-up thrills and spills with their expert renditions of unadulterated rockabilly laced with late ‘50s garage, rock‘n’roll and hillbilly. 
Flying in from Victoria for this event.
Narelle Evans & The Jetbacks: The star of ‘The Rockabilly Women Show’, Narelle has built a devoted following for her act championing some rare, lesser-known tunes from the women of early rock ‘n’ roll. 
Throw in some rockin’ originals & you can understand why Narelle Evans & the Jetbacks have been touted as an act to watch.  

DJsLimpin’ Jimmy & the Swingin’ Kitten, The Crimplenes, Andy Travers, The Rockabilly Rhino 
plus MC: Limpin’ Jimmy.
Plus – Rock ‘n’ Roll Dancing Beginners Class: If you’ve always wanted to give Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing a try, there’ll be a class for beginners at the market between 10.30am and 11.30am 
with teachers Dean Badelles and Trudi Pickering. It’s just $11 per class, which includes entry to the market. 
No need to bring a dance partner – just plenty of energy and your best dancing shoes!
