Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market blasts into 2019 on Sunday, February 24 with a vast array of spectacular stalls, a massive record fair and an entertainment line-up that will shake the foundations of Manning House and shake it hard!
With its unique blend of market, music festival and subcultural hub, this is one of Sydney’s most unique and colourful shopping experiences and a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Expect to find – fashion galore! Rock ‘n’ roll, alternative, vintage, handmade, and unique clothing for men, women and children, jewellery, accessories, posters, cult DVDs, artwork, tikis, homewares, collectables, plus 50,000-plus LPs and 45s covering alternative, punk, metal, rockabilly, blues, jazz, country, reggae, club, hip hop and every other genre since the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll. The fair is presented by and Egg Records, Newtown and Revolve Records. You’ll also find a café, bars, international food, giant kids’ games plus more.
The February 24 entertainment line-up features
Rosa Maria: A splash of garage, a hint of surf, a measure of psych and a dash of blues, Rosa Maria create a cocktail of rock ‘n’ roll that is uniquely their own. With an insatiable lust to entertain, this is one of the best live bands around.|
Better Off Ted: Rising from the ashes of psychobilly sensations Zombie Ghost Train, Better Off Ted delivers the same party-in-a-graveyard vibe but with a Teddy Boy twist.
Hank’s Jalopy Demons:With their expert renditions of unadulterated rockabilly, late 1950s garage, rock ‘n’ roll and hillbilly, the Jalopy Demons have been shaking up Melbourne since 1996 – just try and keep your feet still!
Ezra Lee: Expect an electrifying performance from this energetic rockabilly king who works the ivories just like ol’ Jerry Lee and can sing with the best of them too.
