Hayley Jensen has released the music video for her latest single, Saturday Night, lifted from her forthcoming album, Turning Up The Dial, which is slated for release on 11 May through Social Family Records and available to pre-order now.
Saturday Night is a fun-filled track from the burgeoning country songstress and the video clip, directed and shot by Klik Productions, captures its essence entirely.
“I wanted to write an upbeat song about escaping the grind of the nine-to-five and enjoying fun times with friends. We’ve all been there, inundated with work, watching the clock and daydreaming of being somewhere else! I wanted the chorus to take you there, create that anticipation and excitement! That ‘getting ready to go out’ feeling…” says Hayley.
“The ‘nah nah nah’s’ in Saturday Night were the first part of the song to come to me during the writing process. My dear Dad sadly passed away almost 2 years ago, but he had great taste in music and was a huge encouragement to me in my career. He always used to say to me, “you should write a song with some ‘nah nahs’, something people can sing along to! Get the crowd involved!” So this is for my Dad and I can’t wait to sing this song live on my upcoming tour and festivals and hopefully hear the crowd sing along with me! It’ll be a dream come true.
The new album, Turning Up The Dial, follows the wave of momentum Jensen experienced in 2017 and was created on Hayley’s terms, in every sense of the word. Jensen wrote or co-wrote every song and they are a true representation of exactly where her life is at right now – happy, upbeat, in love, and enjoying every day to the fullest.
The 8-track album was recorded in the United States in collaboration with Grammy and Emmy award-winning producer, Jamie Tate. It features co-writes with award-winning songwriters including Phil Barton (USA), Jerry Salley (USA), Alex Seier (USA), and Australia’s own Kirsty-Lee Akers.

Hayley Jensen is an artist whose vocal abilities place her in elite company within Australian Country Music. The singer-songwriter who now calls Sydney home has experienced a breakout 18-month with her previous release ‘Past Tense and Present Peace’, achieving her first iTunes #1 chart position.
Her hard work was rewarded with Southern Stars Rising Female Artist Award, and a finalist nomination for Country Music Channel’s ‘New Artist of the Year’ 2018.
Growing up in regional Australia, Hayley was initially attracted to the honest storytelling and authenticity of Country Music. Her musical journey has been eclectic, bursting onto the scene through Australian Idol and The Voice; she has explored her range as an artist, ultimately returning to the genre that launched her career.
The past 18 months have seen Jensen release four singles with all music videos appearing in high rotation on the Country Music Channel (CMC). Each release has charted higher than the previous.
Her last single was a summer hit. Aptly entitled Summertime Soundtrack, the song reached #4 in the KIX Top 20 and #1 on Australian Country Radio chart, and is currently in the Country Music Channel’s Top 20. It’s also achieved over 90,000 streams on Spotify since being added to the Fresh Country Playlist on Spotify and the music video has now eclipsed an impressive 100,000 views online.
