Frankie’ Pizza Turns 5! Huge Birthday Event with GILBY CLARKE (GNR) playing live!

3 min read

Frankie’s Pizza, that fine establishment in a basement on Hunter Street in Sydney’s CBD turns 5 years old this weekend!

The saviour of rock n roll and providore of some seriously excellent pizza, has played host to global rockstars, local yet-to-be stars and their fans for half a decade and is throwing a huge party to celebrate!

From the first time they opened their doors, Frankies has had no door charge, no guestlist and no dresscode.

You’re as important as anybody else so just be you baby.

As part of their 5th birthday celebrations, Frankie’s World Famous House Band will be joined by the one and only Gilby Clarke!

This dude needs no introduction really, but here it is anyway. Best known as Slash’s wingman for Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion era, Gilby is a bonafide Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer, and has played with MC5, Heart and Slash’s Snakepit, plus you all remember him from Rock Star Supernova with Jason Newstead!

Frankie’s House Band are actually Gilby’s live band for his full Australian tour which will play its last show right here on the Frankie’s stage!

Rounding out the live action for the night are:

USA retro Cali vibes. Reidemeister will open the bill with screaming guitar driven Classic Rock. Interim are bombastic as all fuck and we know you’ll dig it and L.A. Witch from the USA are a bunch of psycho psychedelic Desert Rock chicks who you’re just gonna love.
Frankie’s is expected to pack out early so please bare in mind, if you arrive to a line, it moves quick to give everyone a fair crack at the good times.
