GRETTA ZILLER Announces “Queen of Boomtown” Album Launch, Next Single and Pre-Order Date

Americana artist, Gretta Ziller has announced the Melbourne launch date for her forthcoming debut album, Queen of Boomtown, due for release Friday, 1 Septemberthrough indie record label, Social Family Records.  The Melbourne songstress will perform all the songs from her acclaimed collection, with some select special guests, at the Croxton, Thornbury on Thursday, 31 August.  The announcement of a Sydney launch is also imminent, with further tour dates expected shortly.

The record will commence pre-order via retail outlets on Monday, 7 August, with the title track, Queen of Boomtown, also released as a single that day.  Anyone who pre-orders the album via iTunes will receive that track and Ziller’s current single, Slaughterhouse Blues, instantly. The SFR Store will also have an exciting D2F offer only applicable to pre-orders via the Store, which will also be announced on 7 August – watch this space!

Ziller’s stunning debut album features an impressive array of musicians, with accomplished songwriter, Jen Mize, providing backing vocals, and a duet appearance from Henry Wagons on one of the tracks.  Recorded at Woodstock Studios, Balaclava, Queen of Boomtown was produced by Paul Ruske. It was written over many years, covers vast emotional territory, and pushes boundaries, with Ziller putting every bit of her musical soul and life experience into it.

The first single lifted from Queen of Boomtown, Slaughterhouse Blues, has been added to Apple Music’s Breaking Country playlist, the Country Music Channel’s Top 50 and spent five weeks in the AMRAP Regional chart Top 10, peaking at #1, receiving airplay across community radio and across music genres, which goes along with the summation that Ziller’s sound “defies categorisation and demands repeated listens.”
