FREE SHOW @ OXFORD ART FACTORY
Today we are real hyped to announce that I OH YOU will take over Sydney’s much loved venue, Oxford Art Factory, on Saturday 15th of July to throw a huge free party across both rooms. The line up is set to feature a number of the label’s newer signings in the form of Jack River, Green Buzzard, MOSSY and Brightness + some of their favourite up and coming Sydney bands in Body Type, Sunscreen and Shearin.
Having been first conceived out of the house party scene in Melbourne back in 2009, I OH YOU’s aim has always been to introduce new, exciting and talented musical projects to their immediate friendship circle, Australia and the world. This passion has lead the brand to signing & releasing artists such as Violent Soho, DMA’S, DZ Deathrays and City Calm Down through their label + touring acts like SOHN, Låpsley, Shamir, Kelsey Lu, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Royal Blood amongst others.
Over the years the friends from I OH YOU have also collated a mix tape series called ‘COMING UP, NOT DOWN’, which simply featured some of their favourite new Australian bands – artists that featured on the tapes include Jagwar Ma, Ta-Ku and Dune Rats. With their label roster now bubbling away with a crop of fresh signings, I OH YOU is very pumped to be teaming up with the Oxford Art Factory to throw a free entry, full venue party version of ‘COMING UP, NOT DOWN’ featuring recent signings Jack River who has just released her killer new single ‘Fools Gold’, Green Buzzard who will be playing fresh off the back of an east coast headline tour supporting their Space Man Rodeo EP, the brilliant performer and entertainer MOSSY & Brightness who has just released his critically acclaimed debut album Teething. If that wasn’t enough, I OH YOU is very psyched to have Body Type, Sunscreen and Shearin also hitting the party up and taking over the Gallery Bar of OAF.
