Fresh from performing at this year’s Gympie Muster, Katie Jayne has dropped her second single,No Shadow, distributed through Social Family Records and available on digital platforms now, launching off the success of her debut single, Sunlit Avenue, released earlier this year.
No Shadow is an infectious, funky, sassy, modern country pop tune and a track that Jayne describes as “very much me. It is strong and empowered with plenty of spunk.”
An unapologetic girl anthem to get you moving, it sets the scene of an age-old tale with words everyone can relate to on a wild, no rules apply, night out with the girls, the song bringing to life the realistic escapades of misguided flirtations in the modern world.
“It links the comedy and frustrations of dating…the pains us girls have felt since this whole relationship thing began. We’ve all had them at some time or another,” says Katie Jayne.
A 2017 graduate of the CMAA Academy of Country Music, 2018 has proven to be a big year for the Katie Jayne. Building a name for herself locally, touring with her band and being invited to play at the Gympie Muster, Jayne is proving to be a popular act on the rise within the Australian country music scene.
