KISS to relocate their ‘Last Kiss’ farewell concert

9 min read

Without a doubt, the North Queensland Cowboys are having a brilliant National Rugby League season and are on track to secure home finals this September at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.  While this is an excellent result for the Cowboys and Townsville, unfortunately the Queensland Country Bank Stadium is now unavailable during the NRL finals season and the “Last Kiss” farewell concert on Saturday 10 September 2022 will therefore now have to be relocated.

Promoters One World Entertainment and TEG Live are sincerely apologetic to the thousands of Kiss fans who have been looking forward to this huge concert in Townsville and hope they will instead travel to Gold Coast’s Cbus Super Stadium for “The Last Kiss” on Saturday 10 September 2022, joined by special guests Wolfmother and Tumbleweed.

Townsville show ticketholders will be automatically refunded within the next 30 business days.

Tickets to the Gold Coast show will go on presale to the Kiss Fan Club and Townsville ticket holders at noon on Tuesday 19 July, followed by the Telstra Plus presale at 10.00am on Wednesday 20 July, with the general public on sale at noon on Monday 25 July 2022.

One World Entertainment and TEG Live spokesperson explained: “Naturally, we are disappointed not to be heading to Townsville as that has always been the plan and we had hoped our rescheduling journey was over for this tour. However, the Cowboys have had a stellar season and the venue was always subject to NRL play offs.  Consequently, they have priority over their home ground of Queensland Country Bank Stadium for the NRL finals.  Thankfully, the magnificent Cbus Super Stadium is available, which fortuitously allows us to relocate and host their first ever concert “The Last Kiss” on the Gold Coast.  Given the Brisbane Entertainment concert on Tuesday 6 September sold out virtually instantly, tickets are assured to sell quickly as South East Queensland now has a second opportunity to say goodbye to their heroes and be part of “The Last Kiss” farewell concert.”

The ‘End Of The Road’ tour, which began in January 2019, is undoubtedly the biggest and best KISS show ever (and that’s saying something), receiving incredible reviews from both diehard KISS fans and the media at sell-out shows across the globe.

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer are now ready to rock’n’roll all nite with the KISS Army across Australia one last time.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers first visited our shores in 1980 during ‘KISSteria’, kick- starting a deep connection between the band and Aussie fans that has continued to thrive for more than four decades.

With countless timeless hits like ‘I Was Made For Loving You’, ‘Detroit Rock City’, ‘Love Gun’, ‘Shout It Out Loud’, ‘Lick It Up’, ‘God Gave Rock’n’Roll To You’ and the knock -em dead anthem that closes every KISS show Rock’n’Roll All Nite’, the KISS legacy has continued to grow, generation after generation.

Along the way the band has sold more than 100 million albums and through relentless touring has proven again and again why they are the most iconic live show in rock n roll.

Come and celebrate the extraordinary career and music of KISS.

“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable,” said KISS.
