AND ANNOUNCED AS A FINALIST IN THE INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION AMERICANA CATEGORY
Since the release of her debut full length album, Queen of Boomtown, Gretta Ziller has continued to receive much critical acclaim as a performer and songwriter from across the music industry, including a final spot in the 2018 Golden Guitars for Alt Country Album of the Year and recognition from judges of the Australian Music Prize. And it hasn’t stopped there with the announcement that Ziller is one of six selected from what has been described as a very impressive pool of applicants for the inaugural APRA AMCOS female songwriter and composer mentoring programs.
Matched with mentor, Tom Busby, of Busby Marou, in the Americana genre, the mentorships will take place over a three-month period. The goal is for mentors to help and encourage the mentees with a current project, with each mentee receiving some financial support from APRA AMCOS over that time.
