Country rock singer/songwriter, Kristy James has signed with independent record label, Social Family Records, with new music scheduled for release in early 2018. Kristy joins a strong stable of artists, including Golden Guitar nominee, Gretta Ziller, songwriting legend Matt Scullion, as well as Andrew Swift, Jason Owen, Hayley Jensen, The Buckleys, and more of Australia’s best and finest up and coming country talent.
Kristy has had a busy couple of years, with 2016 seeing her named a Top 5 finalist in the Musicoz Australian Independent Music Awards (country category), take out the country section of the 2016 Australian Songwriters Association Award, and win the PPCA Best Live Performance Award.
Having spent time in LA and Nashville honing her craft as a songwriter and performer, Kristy has returned, concentrating on touring with her band, playing around NSW and Queensland as well as festivals, BNS Balls, Truck and Ute shows and more. Not planning on slowing down, Kristy is ready and waiting for a huge 2018 with the release of some of her best works to date.
